At 1st Source Bank, we love giving back to our community. That’s why we’re excited to sponsor the 2025 edition of Stu & Ivy’s Reading Club. This program, run by the South Bend Cubs, helps students in Michiana develop a love for reading.

Stu & Ivy’s Reading Club is more than just a program—it’s an adventure. Starting on March 3rd, students will have four weeks to reach their reading goals. Each goal achieved is like reaching a base on a baseball diamond. As students round the bases, they earn prizes from the South Bend Cubs and local businesses. The grand prize? A free ticket to a South Bend Cubs home game on their school’s Reading Club Night.

Last year, over 37,100 students from 160 schools took part in this program. It was a huge success. This year, we hope to reach even more young readers. The program not only boosts literacy but also lets teachers customize it for their students. Plus, every student who meets their reading goals, along with their teachers, gets a free ticket to a South Bend Cubs game.

Here are the key dates for the 2025 program:

  • February 5: Deadline to sign up your school
  • February 24-28: Packets delivered to schools
  • March 3-7: Week One
  • March 10-14: Week Two
  • March 17-21: Week Three
  • March 24-28: Week Four
