South Bend, IN – 1st Source Bank announces the promotion of Jerry Szmanda to Assistant Vice President. Szmanda has more than 14 years experience in 1st Source Retirement Plan Services, where he’s responsible for testing and implementing new systems, determining the application of new regulations and managing a full account load of retirement plans for clients.
Szmanda graduated from Indiana University South Bend with a degree in Accounting. He also holds the designations of CPA, Certified Retirement Services Professional and is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries.
Szmanda is active in the community, serving on the board of St. Jude Catholic School and the St. Jude Church Finance Committee. He’s also involved with the Knights of Columbus and coaches sports in the Inter-City Catholic League.
