Shred Day in Portage on November 10th
Portage, MI – 1st Source Bank announces that November 10, 2018 will be ‘Shred Day’ at its Centre Avenue Banking Center, located at 2381 West Centre Avenue, Portage, Michigan. A shred truck will be onsite from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to shred and properly dispose of sensitive documents. The shred service is free and available to the public.

“Shredding sensitive documents is an easy way to reduce your risk of becoming a victim of identity theft,” said Eric Drogosch, 1st Source Banking Center Manager. “1st Source is glad to help people shred and properly dispose of old statements and paperwork they no longer need.”
Documents you may want to consider shredding include those with Social Security numbers, birthdates, PIN numbers or passwords; banking documents and other financial information; leases, contracts or letters that include signatures; pre-approved credit card applications and medical or dental bills. Of course, be sure to keep documents you may need for tax purposes.
