South Bend, IN – 1st Source announces the promotion of Chris Strafford to President of 1st Source Insurance, a leading provider of business and personal insurance in northern Indiana and southwestern Michigan. In his new role, Strafford will be responsible for strategy and management of 1st Source Insurance’s nine offices in South Bend/Mishawaka, Goshen, Elkhart, Michigan City, La Porte Knox, Fort Wayne, Valparaiso and Merrillville.
While Strafford has served as Vice President of 1st Source Bank’s Asset Advisor Program since 2006, he has 18 years of prior financial services experience with Kemper Investors Life Insurance Company, Van Kampen Funds, and NatCity Investments.
Strafford graduated from Indiana University. He has an Indiana Life and Health license and Indiana Long-term Care Partner Plan Certification. He also holds the distinctions of Certified Financial Planner, Certified Trust & Financial Advisor, Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor, Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor.
