1st Source Raises Funds and Collects Food for Area Food Banks

Valparaiso, IN – Funds, food and trivia…1st Source Bank hosted a unique trivia event last week raising more than $1600 and collecting food for four area food shelters in the city of Valparaiso. Area food banks that benefited include Housing Opportunities, Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Village Food Pantry and Christian Pantry.
“1st Source decided to host the Trivia Night so we could bring people together for a fun event and raise funds for our local food banks,” said Bob Ax, 1st Source Regional President. “Our guests had a great time knowing they were able to make a difference for people in our community.”
The Trivia Night, held at Aberdeen Manor, was attended by 90 people from within the community and the bank. Guests were invited by 1st Source and asked to bring a food or cash donation to participate in the trivia. Porter County Sheriff, David Lain, served as the event emcee.
