St. Joseph, MI – 1st Source Bank has donated $10,000 to Child & Family Services of Southwestern Michigan, Inc. for its Safe Shelter, a safe haven shelter for women and children survivors of domestic violence or sexual assault.
“Thanks to Safe Shelter, women and children in our community have a safe place to go when escaping a violent home situation,” said Jim Welch, 1st Source Vice President and Trust Officer and Board Member of Child & Family Services. “1st Source is a strong supporter of Safe Shelter and is glad to be able to help provide funding for its services.”
Welch and Brad Hafner, Manager of the 1st Source Downtown St. Joseph Banking Center, presented the donation to Warren Washington, Executive Director of Child & Family Services of Southwestern Michigan.
