Valparaiso, IN –1st Source Bank celebrated the grand opening yesterday of a new banking center located at 2005 LaPorte Avenue in Valparaiso. The new office is the area’s first side-by-side banking center, in which bankers are beside clients instead of behind a teller line, allowing them to share their workspace, computer screen and up-to-the-minute financial data with clients both securely and privately.

Valparaiso Chamber President Rex Richards joined 1st Source CEO Chris Murphy and 1st Source Bank President Jim Seitz, Regional President Matt Vessely, Banking Center Manager Jerry Del Real and other guests at the ribbon cutting ceremony. Mary Beth Schultz from The Caring Place also attended and was presented a $500 donation to assist with their mission of providing service and shelter to victims of violence and their children.

“We are pleased to bring side-by-side banking to Valparaiso,” said Vessely. “Our clients are enjoying the new more personal banking experience, as well as the coffee station, customer convenience center, children’s area and other features that make this location so unique.”
