Valparaiso, IN – 1st Source Bank donated $25,000 to Project Neighbors in Valparaiso. Robert Ax, 1st Source Regional President, presented the donation to Project Neighbors board members Paul Schreiner and Lois Reiner in support of the non-profit organization’s newest project, Neighbors Place.
Project Neighbors will convert the former HealthLinc Community Health Center building in Valparaiso into Neighbors Place, which will provide affordable apartments for low-income women.
“This is a cause whose time has come,” said Ax. “1st Source is pleased to support this project. It will be a lasting legacy for the community.”
Project Neighbors provides affordable housing for low-income families. The organization also acts as a catalyst for educational and supportive programs that assist those in Porter County communities.
