1st Source Bank awards $5,000 grant to Pathfinder Services
Huntington, IN – 1st Source Bank has awarded a $5,000 grant to Pathfinder Services for their Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program.
Lyle Juillerat, 1st Source Huntington Banking Center Manager, presented the contribution to Pathfinder CEO John Niederman and Justin Barker, Director of the Pathfinder HomeOwnership Center.
The funds will allow Pathfinder HomeOwnership Center to provide free tax preparation services to individuals who meet certain income qualifications. Tax returns are prepared by IRS-certified volunteers and e-filed for quick refunds.
“1st Source Bank is a strong supporter of Pathfinder Services and the programs that they provide to our community,” said Juillerat. “The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program helps many people maximize their tax returns each year and we are pleased to partner and offer our financial support.”
Justin Barker, Director of the Pathfinder HomeOwnership Center said, "We are so grateful to 1st Source Bank and their continued support of Pathfinder Services. This tax season marks the eighth year for the VITA program, and we are glad to serve working families in this community. Without generous support from local businesses and foundations, we simply could not provide these much needed services. Thank you, 1st Source Bank, for your generosity!"
