1st Source Bank Announces Create-A-Bookmark Contest in Chesterton
Chesterton, IN – 1st Source Bank and the Westchester Public Library are announcing the second annual Create-a-Bookmark Contest for students, grades 1-6.
Through July 31, 2012, students can participate by designing a bookmark that tells about their favorite book. Designs can be inspired by the book’s story, characters, illustrations or more and must be drawn in black ink or marker on the bookmark entry form available at Westchester Public Library.
“1st Source is excited to partner with the Westchester Public Library again this year,” said Tricia Lahey, 1st Source Banking Center Manager. “The Create-a-Bookmark contest inspires kids to read and use their creativity, two skills that will be important for their future success.”
Winners will be notified on or after July 31 and will be invited to attend an award ceremony on Monday, August 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the Westchester Public Library. Prizes will be awarded in two age categories: Grades 1-3 and 4-6. 1st Place winners in each category will receive a $25.00 gift card provided by 1st Source Bank as well as printed copies of their winning bookmark. 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive printed copies of their bookmarks and five Honorable Mention winners in each category will receive a special participation prize.
