Corthier and Newlin of 1st Source Insurance Named Pacesetter Agents

Christiaan Corthier and John Newlin of 1st Source Insurance have been named Pacesetter Agents by State Auto® Insurance Companies.  
 
State Auto’s innovative PaceSetter program is an intensive year-long sales partnership that develops marketing, sales and underwriting expertise. One hundred licensed insurance agents nationwide are chosen to participate in the PaceSetter program each year.  
 
Corthier, an Account Executive at 1st Source Insurance, has thirteen years of insurance experience. He earned his Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow and Financial Services designations from The American College. He has also achieved his Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist designation from The National Underwriter Company. Christiaan holds insurance licenses in Indiana for Property and Casualty, Life and Health and is a certified insurance education teacher. Corthier graduated with a Master of Arts in Political Science from Ball State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from St. Norbert College.  
 
Corthier is active in the community with the St. Joseph County Chamber of Commerce, the St. Joseph County Election Board, The Center for the Homeless and The Rotary Club of South Bend.    
 
Newlin is an Account Executive at 1st Source Insurance where he advises clients on risk management and loss control. He has seven years of insurance experience. Newlin has received designation as a Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist and later in June he will be designated a Life Underwriting and Training Council Fellow. Newlin graduated cum laude from the University of Southern Indiana with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.   
 
Newlin is active in the community and has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, the Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis, Rotary and the Optimist Club.
