1st Source Reaches out to Students for National Get Smart about Credit Day

1st Source Bank is teaming up with the United Way and South Bend Community Schools to teach students at four area high schools about using credit wisely. The presentations coincide with National Get Smart about Credit Day, a national campaign to raise awareness about the dos and don’ts of using a credit card.
1st Source bankers are visiting Adams, Clay, Washington and Riley High Schools throughout the week to offer insight to students and their parents. Presentations will be held following the end of the school day at 3:00.
“We welcome the opportunity to reach out to area students and teach them how to use credit wisely,” said Luis Zapata, 1st Source Banking Center Manager. “It’s important for students to get this information now, before they graduate and are responsible for their own finances.”
