Lyle Juillerat, 1st Source Banking Center Manager in Huntington, joined other community leaders at a ground breaking ceremony for three new Supported Independent Living homes of Pathfinder Services in Huntington.
Each home will be approximately 2,000 square feet in size and provide a separate entrance and studio bedroom area for each of four individuals. The new homes are being made possible through a grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis Affordable Housing Program through 1st Source Bank. Additional funding is being provided by NeighborWorks America.
“These three homes are scheduled to open in 2014 and will provide fully accessible housing for twelve of the individuals we serve through our organization," stated John Niederman, President of Pathfinder Services. "We are extremely excited about this opportunity to provide a unique space that fosters independence while providing on-site support to enable our clients the greatest freedom as they age in place. We are very appreciative for the support from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis, 1st Source Bank, NeighborWorks America and our community partners,” Niederman concluded.
