1st Source Leads Indiana, Ohio and Michigan as the SBA Diversity Lender of the Year

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has recognized 1st Source Bank as the Great Lakes Diversity Lender of the Year for 2013. The award acknowledges 1st Source as the leader among all SBA lenders in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio in supporting diverse small businesses such as minority, women and veteran-owned firms.
 
"1st Source Bank is pleased to be recognized by the SBA as a top small business lender,” said Joe Kuzmitz, 1st Source Senior Vice President of Business Banking. “We’ve used our experience as a preferred SBA lender to work with small business owners, answer their questions and quickly process their SBA loan requests. Our lenders are committed to reaching out to all businesses, including those led by military veterans, women and minorities.”
 
The Great Lakes Diversity Lender of the Year award takes into consideration the utilization of the variety of SBA loan products and 1st Source’s outreach efforts to promote these loans to small businesses as well as actual deployment of loan funds to diverse small businesses.
 
1st Source has been consistently recognized by the SBA in recent years for assisting local businesses obtain SBA loans. Last year the bank was recognized for closing more SBA loans in the state of Indiana than any other mid-size bank and in 2011 the bank was Indiana’s top provider of the Patriot Express Loan for veterans and members of the military.
