1st Source donates $1,000 to Worthy Women Recovery Center in LaPorte

1st Source Bank has donated $1,000 to the Worthy Women Recovery Center in LaPorte. The donation was made on behalf of Laura Francesconi, a recipient of the bank’s Ernestine M. Raclin Community Leadership Award.

Francesconi joined 1st Source Regional President Matt Vessely in presenting the donation to Worthy Women Recovery’s Executive Director Sonshine Troche and board members Trudy Menke and Pat Fleming-Graham.

Francesconi, Senior Vice President and Director of Corporate Development at Meridian Title, received the award in recognition of her volunteer leadership to the Worthy Women Recovery Center and several other organizations including the IU Health Foundation Board, the YMCA, Kiwanis and the LaPorte Chamber of Commerce. As an award recipient, Francesconi was able to select a nonprofit organization to receive the bank’s $1,000 donation.

“I am grateful to 1st Source for making this donation to the Worthy Women Recovery Center,” said Francesconi. “This donation will help women transition back into our community as better mothers, employees and citizens, while lessening the burden to the taxpayers.”
