1st Source Breaks Ground on New Banking Center in Nappanee

1st Source Bank held a groundbreaking to celebrate the start of construction on a new banking center at 1600 Market Street in Nappanee in front of Martin’s Supermarket.
Those who attended the groundbreaking include Steve Deranek, 1st Source Regional Sales Manager; Larry Thompson, Mayor of Nappanee; Bill Burton, 1st Source Regional President; Kami Bunch, 1st Source Banking Center Manager; Tim Stump, Manager of the Nappanee Martin's Supermarket; Bobby Gluck of ADM; Jeff Kitson, Executive Director of the Nappanee Area Chamber of Commerce and Steve Bush, Manager of 1st Source Construction Projects.
The new banking center will feature side-by-side banking, in which the traditional teller walls are removed to allow clients to see exactly what the teller sees during their transaction. The banking center will also feature a customer service center with a fax machine, shredder, internet-connected computer, a children’s play area and a drive-thru.
“We’re excited to strengthen 1st Source’s presence in Nappanee,” said Kami Bunch, who will manage the new banking center. “Clients are really going to enjoy the new location and the added conveniences the banking center will have to offer.”
The new banking center is expected to open by the end of the year and will replace the current 1st Source location at 1409 East Market Street.
