1st Source Bank has broken ground on a new banking center in the Cascada Business Park at 3944 McCarty Lane in Lafayette.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held on August 26 to celebrate the start of construction and was attended by Lafayette Mayor Tony Roswarski and officials from 1st Source including Jim Seitz, President; Bob Ax, Regional President; Brent Mithoefer, Lafayette City President and Deb McCormick, who will manage the new banking center.
“We’re excited to strengthen 1st Source’s presence in Lafayette,” said Brent Mithoefer, 1st Source Lafayette City President. “With this year being 1st Source’s 150th anniversary it’s the perfect opportunity to celebrate a new location and the greater convenience it will offer to our clients.”
The new banking center will feature side-by-side banking, in which the traditional teller walls are removed to allow clients to see exactly what the teller sees during their transaction. The banking center will also feature a coffee station, customer service center with a fax machine, shredder, internet-connected computer, a children’s play area and a drive-thru.
The 1st Source Lafayette Cascada Banking Center will be the bank’s second office in Lafayette, in addition to a separate drive-up located near the downtown banking center. The new banking center is expected to open by mid-December.
