For over 150 years, 1st Source Bank has been giving back to our community to help build good places to live, work and raise our families. This service to our community is one of our principal values and has defined who we are and how we do business.
This past year, 1st Source Bank and 1st Source Foundation
donated more than $1.4 Million to over 200 non-profit organizations in our communities. Additionally, 1st Source employees volunteered more than 25,000 hours to community organizations. Employees are active with a wide range of organizations, including the following:
Central Region – Junior Achievement, Center for the Homeless, Rebuilding Together and United Way
– Starke United, 4-H and Purdue University Extension
– ADEC, Boys & Girls Club, Wellfield Botanic Gardens and Bashor Children’s Home
Fort Wayne Region
– Erin’s House for Grieving Children, YWCA and Junior Achievement
– Hilltop Neighborhood House, Housing Opportunities, Duneland YMCA
Lafayette Region – Habitat for Humanity, Lafayette Symphony Orchestra Foundation and Leadership Lafayette
To honor and encourage volunteerism within businesses in our community, 1st Source has established the Ernestine M. Raclin Community Leadership Award
. Since 1999, 1st Source has recognized more than 150 outstanding volunteer leaders who demonstrate the spirit of volunteerism of Ernestine M. Raclin, 1st Source Chairman Emeritus.
