Passwords
- What happens if I forget my password
and am locked out of the system?
- If you forget your password and are locked out of the system you will access
a “Password Reset Page” accessible from the InfoSource Online log-on page.
You will be asked to enter the last seven digits of your Resource or Resource
Plus Card number, your mother’s maiden name, and the answer to the challenge
question you selected the first time you logged-on to InfoSource Online.
You have three chances to answer these questions accurately. If the information
you enter is correct you will be prompted to establish a new password. If
you don’t enter this information correctly you will need to call Direct Banking
at (574) 235-2250 or (888) 258-3150 to have your account manually reset.
- Do I use my new InfoSource Online password for everything, instead of the Resource
Card PIN I have been using all along?
- You only need your Resource Card PIN the first time you access InfoSource
Online. You will be instructed to set up a special InfoSource Online password.
You will continue using your original Resource Card PIN as you have in the
past for everything BUT InfoSource Online.
- Why is the password so complicated?
- Your password is the key to your online information. As a result, it is
important to select a good password, keep it to yourself, and change it often.
The Federal Reserve has encouraged 1st Source to require an alphanumeric
password (with upper and lower case letters) to protect customer's banking
information.
- Can I change my password at any time?
- Yes. This can be done by clicking the "My Profile" link which is located
in the upper left corner of the "Accounts Overview" page.
- If more than one authorized signer on the account has a Resource Plus Card, do they each use the same password to access account information?
- Since each authorized signer will have a different Resource Plus Card and PIN, they should each have a unique password to access InfoSource Online account information.
- Some browsers have an "Auto Complete" feature that automatically fills
in a password when you return to a site at a later date and begin logging
in. Should I select this Auto Complete option?
- "Auto Complete" makes it very easy for unauthorized individuals using your
computer to connect to your accounts on secure Web sites. Using this feature
is not recommended.
Account Information
- Which 1st Source accounts can I access when using InfoSource
Online?
- You will be able to access information on any checking or savings account
tied to your Resource or Resource Plus Card. In addition, information on
credit lines that are tied to your checking accounts will also display.
- What if I want to access additional accounts?
- You can request accounts be added to your Resource or Resource Plus Card
(which controls InfoSource Online account access) if the following conditions
are met:
- You are an authorized signer on the account
- The account is a checking or savings, and has titling similar to the card
-
I
have several different businesses with accounts at 1st Source. Can I view all
of them with InfoSource Online?
- InfoSource Online will only show accounts tied
to a specific business Resource or Resource Plus card. If you have multiple
businesses, each will need to have a card and separate InfoSource Online log
in. If you wish to view information at one time for separate businesses, this
is available with our Business Banking Online product. For more information
on Business Banking Online, go to 1stSource.com or call 574-235-2615.
- If the address for an account is incorrect in InfoSource Online, how do
I correct it?
- Contact your Relationship Manager or the Branch in which you do business.
- How much account information will I be able to view?
- You will be able to view the information on your last statement and all
activity since then.
- What if I want to view activity before my last statement?
- If you would like to see more account information, you may be interested
in learning more about our Business Banking Online service, which accumulates
6 months worth of account information. We also offer Business Banking Software,
which lets you control the history stored on your PC. For more information
about Business Banking Online or Business Banking Software, go to 1stSource.com
or call 574-235-2615.
- If I call InfoSource (telephone banking) and account information is not
available because my statement has just cycled, will I be able to access
more information using InfoSource Online?
- Yes. While InfoSource (telephone banking) provides transaction information
since your last statement, InfoSource Online provides access to your last
statement and all transactions since then.
- What is the difference between "Current Balance" and "Available Balance"?
- The "current balance" includes all transactions posted to your account
from the previous business day. Since then, other debits or credits may be
waiting to be posted to your account. These are "pending" transactions.
In order to show a balance that is "available" and can be drawn against,
our system adds "pending" credits to and subtracts "pending" debits from
the "current balance." The result is the "available balance."
- What transactions can be included as a "Pending Transaction"?
- ATM or debit card transactions, InfoSource (telephone or Online) transfers,
teller holds, and ACH transactions are "Pending Transactions."
- When printing my account activity, what if some of the information is
cut off and does not print?
- When information is cut off its generally a function of your browser version
and / or your browser print settings. Change your print settings from "portrait"
to "landscape." In most browsers this can be accomplished by selecting
"File" on the menu bar and choosing "Page Setup."
Transfers
- How do I know which 1st Source accounts are eligible for transfers
when using InfoSource Online?
- Checking and savings accounts attached to your Resource or Resource Plus
Card are eligible for transfers with the exception of Automated Investment
Accounts (a.k.a. Sweep Accounts). In addition, you can transfer funds to
make a payment on a Business CareFree Line of Credit.
- What if a checking or savings account is included in my InfoSource Online
Account Overview but is not in the drop down transfer list?
- Checking and savings accounts displayed in your "Account Overview" but
not in your drop down list for transfers are restricted access accounts and
will not display as a transfer option. Following is a list of products that
would fall under restricted access:
- Automated Investment Account (AIA) - this investment sweep account
settles daily with your checking account. If tied to your card, you will
see it in "Accounts Overview" but not in transfers.
- Business Carefree Line of Credit - the Business Carefree works like
overdraft protection. It will automatically fund your checking account
if needed. If
you have a checking account tied to your card that also has a Business Carefree
attached, you will be able to make principle reductions (transfers to) on
the line but not advances (transfers from).
- Two Way Sweep Investment Account and Line of Credit - since this
product links your investment and line of credit to your checking account
automatically,
you may view the accounts properly tied to your card but will not have access
to transfers.
- How will I know if a transfer was made successfully?
- After you complete all the information for a transfer, you will be at a
screen with a transfer confirmation number and the date the transfer will
be posted to your accounts.
- Can a transfer be deleted after it has been submitted?
- No. Once a transfer has been confirmed it cannot be deleted. However, you
can make a second transfer to reverse the initial transfer (e.g., transferring
$20 from checking to savings and then transferring $20 from savings to checking)
- What is the cut-off time for transfers?
- 6:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time is the cut off time. Transfers made after
6:00 p.m. will be posted on the next business day. After you complete all
the information for a transfer, you will be at a screen with a transfer confirmation
number and the date the transfer will be posted to your accounts.
- Can I set up future or recurring transfers?
- You can not set up future or recurring transfers with InfoSource Online.
- If a transfer is made on InfoSource Online will it show up immediately
on the ATM?
- Yes, a transfer made on InfoSource Online will immediately be reflected
at an ATM.
- I would like to transfer between my personal and business account, which
are both at 1st Source. Can I do this using InfoSource online?
- You can only transfer between accounts titled the same and tied to the
same Resource or Resource Plus Card. However, our Business Banking Online
product does allow multiple related accounts to have transfer capabilities.
For more information on Business Banking Online, go to 1stSource.com or call
574-235-2615.
- Can I use InfoSource Online to transfer to an account outside of 1st Source
Bank?
- InfoSource Online does not have the capability to transfer to accounts
outside of 1st Source. However, our Business Banking Online product does
have this capability. Business Banking Online can be used for direct deposit
of payroll, collection of monthly payments, vendor payments, and concentration
of funds from your accounts at other banks. For more information on Business
Banking Online, go to 1stSource.com or call 574-235-2615.
General
- Who in my business can access InfoSource Online Business?
- To access InfoSource Online Business employees must have a Resource or
Resource Plus card and must be an authorized signer on an account.
- I don’t want an ATM card. Can I still use InfoSource Online?
- If you dont want to use an ATM, we can provide a Resource Card without
withdrawal privileges. This means the card cannot be used at an ATM. However,
the number on the card and its PIN is necessary to access your accounts and
make online transfers.

- At this time, bill payment is not available with InfoSource Online. If
you are interested in paying vendors or employees electronically, go to 1stsource.com
to learn more about ACH origination and direct deposit
- If I use Quicken or Microsoft Money at home, can I use this software to
import InfoSource Online transactions?
- At this time, InfoSource Online does not interface with Quicken or Microsoft
Money. Our Business Banking Online system has the ability to export information
in Excel, Word, Crystal Reports and Rich Text formats. For more information
on Business Banking Online, go to 1stSource.com or call 574-235-2615.
- When a checking account or loan is closed how long will I be able to see
transaction information online?
- When your account is closed you will no longer be able to see your transaction
information online.
- Can I make loan payments with InfoSource Online?
- You can make principle reductions on Business Carefree accounts using InfoSource
Online. Two Way Sweep lines of credit are available for viewing only. All
other lines or loans are accessible via our Business Banking Online or Business
Banking Software. For more information on either of these products, go to
1stSource.com or call 574-235-2615.
- Can I use InfoSource Online if I am using another Cash Management product
for balance reporting or ACH origination?
- As long as you have a Resource or Resource Plus Card you can register to
use InfoSource Online. Using another cash management product, such as Business
Banking Online, does not eliminate this possibility. You may choose to use
both products simultaneously.
- What is the "time out" period for InfoSource Online?
- Your timeout period determines how long you are able to remain inactive
before you are automatically logged-off. Lower numbers offer more security
while higher numbers offer more convenience. 1st Source has set the InfoSource
Online timeout period for 20 minutes. You may not adjust this.
- Is InfoSource Online secure?
- InfoSource Online is protected by several layers of security. We employ
SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) using 128-bit strong encryption, the industry
standard. Encryption simply means that the information shared between your
computer and InfoSource Online is scrambled in a way that cannot be easily
understood by unauthorized people. We also employ firewalls to protect our
systems and your information. Firewalls are a combination of computer hardware
and software that separate the Internet from our internal systems and prevent
unauthorized Internet traffic from accessing our systems. Additionally, we
use timed sessions to secure your information. If you are inactive for a
period of time after logging in to InfoSource Online, you will automatically
be logged out.
